Assessing conditions of more than 20 million square feet of facilities for America’s oldest institution of higher education
ARAMARK performed a facilities condition assessment to serve as a strategic planning tool that guided the allocation of funding. ARAMARK's technical professionals created a unique, customized assessment for each college within the university, designed to help achieve its specific goals.
The team worked together to plan and assess the condition of the campus and determine a strategic course of action in an effort to assure long-term sustainability. ARAMARK brought its unique analytical perspective, benchmarking resources, and strategic methodology to drive overall facility performance and resource optimization.
The ARAMARK team identified all architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and safety systems on campus requiring attention and funding. A customized database tracks all observations online, including a graphic depiction of the observations based on system and priority.
By categorizing and prioritizing all recommended corrective actions using customized criteria, ARAMARK created a working on-line tool that allows the various facility groups the ability to provide plans that form the basis for short-term and longer-term renewal forecasts and capital plans. ARAMARK developed correction methods with estimated costs to focus attention and funding to appropriate areas.
